Staff Sergeant Carolyn Sierichs

Staff Sergeant Carolyn Sierichs hails from the Crescent City, New Orleans, LA.  She received a Bachelors in Music Industry Studies from Loyola University New Orleans and studied flute and piccolo under The Louisiana Philharmonic's Patti Adams.  She continued her education at The Ohio State University, studying under Katherine Borst Jones, and earned a Masters of Music in Flute Performance. 

Enlisting in the Air Force in 2010, SSgt Sierichs joined the Air Force Band of Liberty at Hanscom AFB in Boston, MA.  Following two years with the Band of Liberty, SSgt Sierichs was transferred to the United States Air Forces in Europe Band at Ramstein AB, Germany.  During her four years as a "Musical Ambassador" with the USAFE Band, she traveled extensively in support of military and diplomatic missions in Albania, Algeria, Belarus, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Georgia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxemburg, Monaco, Montenegro, Poland, Slovakia, Spain and The Netherlands.  Several of her highlights were playing for the President of Belarus in their Victory Day celebration and for the people of Georgia celebrating their Independence Day. 

Prior to joining the Air Force, SSgt Sierichs had the opportunity and privilege to study under world renowned flutists James Galway, Robert Langevin, Renee Siebert, Stephen Preston, Goran Marcusson, Bradley Garner, Gary Schocker, Walfrid Kujala, Zart Dombourian-Eby, Rebecca Andres and Jill Felber.
