Master Sgt. Kristin J. Cazenave is a trumpeter with the Ceremonial Brass, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. Originally from Columbus, Indiana, her career in the Air Force began in 2011 with the Heartland of America Band at Offutt Air Force Base, Omaha, Nebraska. She performed with The Noteables jazz ensemble, Brass in Blue, the Concert Band, and the Marching Band during her time there. In 2013, her second assignment took her to the U.S. Air Force Academy Band, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado. While there, Sgt. Cazenave performed with Stellar Brass, the Concert Band, and the Marching Band.
Before joining the Air Force, she was a performing artist for Norwegian Cruise Lines, a guest soloist with the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic and Columbus Symphony Orchestra, and a featured soloist on the CBS Sunday Morning Show’s Columbus Indiana Special. Cazenave has also performed with the Colorado Springs Brass, Denver Brass, the Brass of the Potomac, and the Monarch Brass.
A graduate of Indiana University, Cazenave received a Bachelor of Music degree in trumpet performance, studying with Professor Edmund Cord.
