Technical Sergeant Jared M. Andrews

Technical Sergeant Jared M. Andrews joined the United States Air Forces in Europe Band, Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany, in November 2020. He currently serves as NCOIC and bassist with Touch ‘n Go. In addition to his musical responsibilities, Sergeant Andrews serves as the Assistant Director of Operations.
 
Hailing from Perry, GA, Technical Sergeant Andrews   graduated with a B.A. in Music Performance from Valdosta State University in 2008 and later with a M.A. in Jazz Studies from Florida State University in 2010. During that time, he had the privilege of studying with Rodney Jordan, Paul McKee, Dr. Donovan Stokes, Jason Marsalis, and Marcus Roberts. He has also participated in multiple master classes at the University of Georgia’s Double Bass Symposium that featured Rufus Reid and John Clayton. Since joining the Air Force, Sergeant Andrews has had the opportunity to perform at the Grand Ol’ Opry and with the WDR Big Band’s Marshall Gilkes.
 
In 2017 and 2022 Sergeant Andrews deployed to Southwest Asia in support of US troops and coalition forces. In addition to performing for troops, he engaged in public concerts as well as educational outreach in local communities throughout Afghanistan, Israel, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Djibouti, Kuwait, U. A. E., and Qatar. He also provided support for US Ambassadors in many of these places.
