Technical Sergeant Jesse Ray Schartz Technical Sergeant Jesse Schartz, a native of Grove, Oklahoma, serves as a Bassoonist with the USAF Heritage of America Band. TSgt Schartz has earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Bassoon Performance from the University of Arkansas, a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix, and a Master of Music in Bassoon Performance from The Ohio State University. TSgt Schartz has studied bassoon with Richard Ramey, Robert Mottl, and Karen Pierson. Outside of the Air Force Bands, TSgt Schartz's professional credits include orchestral performances with the North Arkansas Symphony, The Fort Smith (Arkansas) Symphony, The Springfield (MO) Symphony, The Columbus (OH) Symphony, and The Virginia Symphony.
