Technical Sergeant Shannon Dooley

Technical Sergeant Shannon Dooley is from Fayetteville, Georgia. Sergeant Dooley holds a Bachelor's in Music Education from the University of Georgia in 1996 and graduated with a Master's Degree in clarinet Performance from James Madison University in 1998. She joined the USAF Band of Mid-America in January 1999. While at the USAF Band of Mid-America, Technical Sergeant Dooley performed with noted celebrities such as Mannheim Steamroller, Jamie Farr, Wilford Brimley, and holiday concerts at Chicago Symphony Hall. In 2004, She augmented the Band of the Golden West for the interment ceremony for the late President Reagan in Simi Valley, CA. Also in 2004, USAF BOMA provided musical support for the dedication of the William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Library in which four U.S. Presidents were in attendance. In 2011, Technical Sergeant Dooley was assigned to the United States Air Forces in Europe Band where she performed in 13 countries (Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy, Norway, England, France, Luxembourg, Austria, Poland, Russia, Hungary, and Israel) in support of Building Partnerships initiatives. As an operations representative she lead the 42 member Concert Bandon the band's first ever tour to Western Siberia, Russia in support of the Bilateral Presidential Commission initiative "American Seasons in Russia." She has performed for numerous military and civilian dignitaries in the US and abroad, including President George W. Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, USAF Chiefs of Staff Norton Schwarz and Mark Welsh, and Admiral James Stavridis, Commander US European Command and NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe, and many other US ambassadors and foreign dignitaries. In 2012 she graduated from the Kisling Noncommissioned Officer Academy. She currently performs in the Clarinet Quartet, Woodwind Quintet, Ceremonial Band, and Concert Band.
