Master Sergeant Mathew Dunsmore

Master Sergeant Matthew Dunsmore performs on euphonium with the Brass in Blue brass ensemble, Concert Band and tuba in the Ceremonial Band of the United States Air Force Heartland of America Band, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. In addition to his musical responsibilities, he serves as the Unit Deployment Manager, Special Projects Coordinator and NCOIC of the Marching/Ceremonial Band. Previously, he has worked in the travel shop, served as the manning assist coordinator and the Command Support Staff.

Before joining the Air Force Heartland of America Band in May 2008, Sergeant Dunsmore began his career in September 1997 with the Heritage of America Band at Langley AFB, Virginia. There he worked in the Library and the Audio Shop. From there he travelled to the United States Air Forces in Europe Band in April 2005. He was the Unit Deployment Manager and also worked in Publicity.

Sergeant Dunsmore has performed with the United States Air Force Bans, Bolling AFB, in 2002 on their summer concert series. He was also a semi-finalist in the Lenoard Falcone International Euphonium Competition in August 1996. Furthermore, Sergeant Dunsmore gave the world premier performance of a reduction of Eric Ewazen's Concerto for Euphonium and Wind Band with Ewazen himself accompanying in April of 2004. He was also Adjuct Instructor of Euphonium in 2010 and 2011 at the University of Nebraska in Omaha. His most noteable teachers include Daniel Steiger and Roger Behrend.
