Master Sergeant Anne Epperly

Master Sergeant (MSgt) Anne Epperly is a flutist and piccoloist with the United States Air Force (USAF) Heritage of America Band, where she performs with the Concert Band and various chamber ensembles.  MSgt Epperly’s career has taken her to 25 states; she has performed in venues from elementary school cafeterias to state-of-the-art concert halls.  She has conducted musical clinics for students from pre-K through graduate school. 
 
Career highlights include a 2012 performance with the San Francisco Symphony and marching in the 2003 Tournament of Roses Parade.  MSgt Epperly has performed for President Barack Obama, the Air Force Chief of Staff, and the Secretary of the Air Force.
 
MSgt Epperly holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and a Master of Arts degree in Music Performance from Queens College/City University of New York. She also studied at the Aspen Music Festival and Eastern Music Festival.  Since joining the Air Force, MSgt Epperly has participated in masterclasses with Paula Robison, Goran Marcusson, Liisa Ruoho, and the Imani Winds.
