Master Sergeant Jeremy Laukhuf

Master Sergeant Jeremy D. Laukhuf currently serves as a bassist in the US Air Force Band of the Golden West, Travis Air Force Base, California.

A native of Lima, OH, Sergeant Laukhuf graduated from Lima Bath High School and then went on to attend The Ohio State University where he received the Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies. Prior to entering the United States Air Force, he performed as a professional bassist in a wide variety of musical settings including a contract on American Hawaii Cruises. Sergeant Laukhuf entered the United States Air Force in June 1999, and was stationed at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska with the Heartland of America Band. While there, he was the bassist and musical director for the popular music group Night Wing. In May 2002, he won an audition and joined The United States Air Force Academy Band and served as the NCOIC and musical director of the popular music ensemble, Blue Steel.

In 2016, he deployed as a member of the AFCENT Band supporting operations Inherent Resolve and Resolute Support, completing 66 missions in Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan and Afghanistan reaching 5.6 million people.
