Staff Sergeant Bryan Smith is a percussionist with the US Air Forces in Europe Band, Ramstein, Germany. Originally from Las Vegas, NV, his Air Force career began in 2015.
SSgt Smith is a 2009 graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, NV where he earned a Bachelor of Music in education and a Master of Music in performance. His teachers include Nick Stamanis, Dr. Andrew Heglund, and Dr. James Winn. Prior to joining the United States Air Force, SSgt Smith was a part of the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps and performed with the Reno Philharmonic, the Reno Wind Symphony, and many other artists in the Reno/Tahoe area. In addition to music performance, SSgt Smith contributed significantly to music education and taught in the Washoe County School District.
