Staff Sergeant Michelle Doolittle is a vocalist with the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West, Travis AFB, CA. Originally from Santa Cruz, CA, her Air Force career began in 2014.
SSgt Michelle Doolittle is a 2013 graduate of The New England Conservatory of Music, Boston, MA where she earned a Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance. In 2010, she received a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from California State University, Fullerton, in Fullerton, CA. She also holds an Associate Degree in Music from Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA. Her teachers in Professors Lisa Saffer and Patricia Prunty. SSgt Doolittle has sung in master classes with David Small, Dame Emma Kirkby and Sir Thomas Allen.
Highlights of SSgt Doolittle's Air Force career include performing for the 2014 and 2015 World Series and Monday Night Football, and her 2016 deployment as a member of the AFCENT Band. She and her team supported operations Inherent Resolve and Resolute Support, completing 66 missions in Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan and Afghanistan reaching 5.6 million people. A valued member of the Noncommissioned Officer tier, SSgt Doolittle earned the Distinguished Graduate award from Airman Leadership School in 2018.
