Master Sergeant Ashley Keeks

Master Sgt. Ashley Keeks is a soprano vocalist with the Singing Sergeants, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. A native of Rochester, New York, her career in the Air Force began in June 2016.

Keeks earned her Bachelor and Master of Music in Opera Performance degrees from Mannes College The New School of Music. In 2010, Keeks was the American winner of the International Jenny Lind Competition, which resulted in a series of concert engagements in the United States and Sweden. Other honors include being selected as a semi-finalist representing the United States in the World Wide Voice of McDonalds Competition in 2010, and being selected as recipient of an encouragement award from the Licia Albenese - Puccini Foundation in 2012. On the opera stage, Keeks has portrayed various roles from Mozart, Puccini and others. From 2012-15, Keeks was a faculty member at Concordia Conservatory as an instructor for voice.

Keeks' teachers have included Patricia Alexander of Eastman School of Music and Ruth Falcon at Mannes College the New School of Music. Currently, Keeks studies under the direction of Beth Roberts-Sebek, coordinator of the vocal program at Mannes College The New School of Music. Keeks has made various musical appearances at venues in Rochester, NY and the New York City area.
