MSgt David Balandrin

Master Sgt. David Balandrin is a French hornist with the Concert Band, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C.  Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, his Air Force career began in 2011.


Balandrin received his Bachelor of Music degree in instrumental performance from the University of Utah in 2007, and went on to receive a Master of Music degree from Boston University in 2010. His principal teachers include Eric Ruske, Kevin Owen, Stephen Proser, and Ron Beitel. Prior to joining the Air Force, Balandrin was an active freelance musician, performing in ensembles such as the Boston Civic Symphony, the Plymouth Philharmonic, the Cape Cod Chamber Ensemble, the Mercury Orchestra, the Lowell House Opera, and the Juventas New Music Ensemble.
