Master Sergeant Michael Brest

Master Sgt. Michael Brest is a trumpeter with the Ceremonial Brass, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. A native of Tualatin, Oregon, he joined the Air Force in 2009.

Brest holds a Bachelor of Music from Oberlin Conservatory and completed graduate courses at Yale University School of Music. His teachers include Roy Poper, Ray Mase, Allan Dean, Gerald Webster, Kevin Cobb and Louis Ranger.

Air Force career highlights include performing on NBC's TODAY and at a Major League Baseball game between the New York Mets and the New York Yankees in 2011.
