Senior Master Sergeant Tracey J. MacDonald

Senior Master Sgt. Tracey J. MacDonald is the Superintendent of Operations for The United States Air Force Band, Washington, D.C. Originally from Duncanville, Texas, she joined the Band in 2001 as the principal oboist of the Concert Band.

Sgt. MacDonald attended the University of Texas in Arlington where she graduated with distinction in 1998 with a Bachelor of Music in education. She continued her education at the University of North Texas (UNT) in Denton, earning a Master of Music degree in oboe performance in 2001. While there, Sgt. MacDonald worked as a graduate assistant for the oboe studio. She has performed as principal oboe in the Richardson Symphony Orchestra, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and with the UNT Wind Symphony and Orchestra under Eugene Corporon. Her former teachers include Denise Lamb and Dr. Charles Veazey.
