Master Sgt. Brooke S. Emery is a clarinetist with the Concert Band, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. Originally from Mount Pleasant, MI, her career in the Air Force began in 2003.
A graduate of Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Emery received a Bachelor of Music Education degree in 2001. During her undergraduate studies, she was the winner of the 1999 CMU Concerto Competition, and performed with numerous organizations, including the Saginaw Bay Orchestra and the Midland Symphony Orchestra. She earned a Master of Music degree in 2003 from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she served as a graduate assistant. Her former teachers include Dr. Kennen White and Ron deKant.
She is a founding member of the Atlantic Reed Consort, one of the nation’s premier reed quintets.
