Master Sgt. Nathan Wisniewski is a violinist and arranger with the Air Force Strings, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. Originally from Waukesha, Wisconsin, he joined the Air Force in 2005.
A 1998 graduate of the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisniewski received his Bachelor of Arts degree in music performance on a full tuition scholarship. He earned a Master of Music degree in violin performance from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst in 2002, where he was a teaching assistant for Charles Treger. His former teachers include Vartan Manoogian, Roman Totenberg, James Buswell, Lynn Chang and Charles Treger.
Wisniewski is a member of ASTA and has coached at yearly summer music festivals held by the New Jersey Youth Symphony and the String Academy of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He participated in the inaugural season of the Hot Springs Music Festival in Hot Springs, Ark., and in the Spoleto Music Festival USA held in Charleston, S.C., in 1997.
