SMSgt Ryan Dolan

Senior Master Sgt. Ryan Dolan is a bass vocalist with the Singing Sergeants, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. Originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia, his career in the Air Force began in 1997.

Dolan is a 1993 graduate from Kempsville High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and the Virginia Governor's school for the Arts. In 1997, he received a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from The Peabody conservatory of Music of the Johns Hopkins University.

Prior to joining the Air Force, Dolan performed with the Peabody Singers, Peabody Opera Workshop, Peabody Opera Theater, Johns Hopkins University Barnstormers, Voices of Virginia, as well as professional engagements with Virginia Musical Theater and the Utah Festival Opera companies. His teachers include Darren Keith Woods and John Shirley-Quirk.

Dolan has performed as a soloist at the Kennedy Center for the Arts with the National Symphony under the direction of Marvin Hamlisch, as well as with the Washington Opera House Orchestra. He has also appeared as a soloist under the direction of Dr. John Rutter, and has performed on two world-premiere recordings in the field of early music.
