Technical Sgt. Gabriel Staznik is the drummer with Max Impact, The United States Air Force Band, Washington, D.C. In addition to his performing duties, he is the non-commissioned officer in charge of Max Impact Operations. His career in the Air Force began in February 2016.
Staznik received his Bachelor of Music education degree with an emphasis on percussion from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2008. A native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Staznik attended Bishop McDevitt High School where he received both the United States Marine Corps Semper Fidelis award and Thomas B. Schmidt Award for musical achievement.
Before joining the Air Force, Staznik was the house drummer at the American Music Theatre in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, performed as a hire for off-Broadway national tours, and toured nationally and abroad with the legendary Chubby Checker. As a freelance musician Staznik has performed and recorded with Grammy, Emmy, and Tony award-winning artists including LL Cool J, Kristen Chenoweth, Tom Hedden Music, and NFL Films.
Some highlights for his career in the Air Force include performing in the 45th Presidential Inaugural Parade and the Maryland Public Television broadcast with guest artist Drake White.
