Senior Master Sergeant Ni Santiago

Senior Master Sgt. Ni Santiago is a violinist with the Air Force Strings, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. Originally from Rochester, New York, her Air Force career began in 2006.  Santiago currently serves as the executive officer of the 11th Operations Group.

Santiago graduated in 2004 from the Eastman School of Music with both bachelor's and master's degrees in violin performance. She went on to earn a Performance Certificate from the Eastman School, served as a teaching assistant for Zvi Zeitlin, and was a winner of the school's concerto competition.

Prior to joining the Air Force, Santiago appeared as soloist with the Eastman Philharmonic, the Sichuan Symphony Orchestra in China, and the American Youth Orchestra. She also performed with the Syracuse Symphony.

Santiago attended the Idyllwild Summer Festival in 1997 and Music Academy of the West in 1999 and 2000. Her former teachers include Abram Stern and Zvi Zeitlin.

Highlights from Santiago's Air Force career include the 56th Presidential Inaugural concert on the National Mall as well as numerous performances at the Vice President's Residence.
