Technical Sergeant Edward L. Prevost

Technical Sgt. Edward L. Prevost is a cellist with the Air Force Strings, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. Originally from Manassas, Virginia, his Air Force career began in 2012. Prevost currently serves as librarian for the Air Force Strings.

In 2008, Prevost graduated from the Peabody Institute of Music, and in 2012 he earned a Music Performance diploma from Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music. Prior to joining the Air Force, Prevost was the principal cellist of the Columbus Philharmonic Orchestra. He is also an alumni of the National Symphony Orchestra's Youth Fellowship program. His principal teachers include Loren Stephenson from the National Symphony Orchestra and Eric Kim, former principal cellist of the Cincinnati Symphony.

Highlight's of Prevost's Air Force career include a 2012 concert band tour to southern California, as well as a 2017 strings tour to southern Indiana and Kentucky.
