MSgt Megan Ensor

Master Sgt. Megan Ensor is a flutist with the Concert Band, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington D.C. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, her career in the Air Force began in 2004 with the U.S. Air Force Band of Flight in Dayton, Ohio. In 2011, she joined The U.S. Air Force Band.

A 2003 graduate of Youngstown State University,  Ensor earned a Bachelor of Music degree in education. She earned her Master of Music in flute performance from Wright State University in 2009.

Before joining the Air Force, Ensor was the principal flutist of the Youngstown Opera Orchestra. She was also second flutist for the Youngstown Musica Sacre and Warren Philharmonic Orchestras. Ensor was also selected as a performer for the Young Artist Division of the Jeanne Baxtresser master class at Carnegie Mellon University.

Ensor's Air Force career highlights include performing as a featured soloist with the Band of Flight's Concert Band for a dozen concerts throughout a seven-state region. While serving on active duty, she was the top winner of the 2005 NFA Professional Flute Choir Competition and the 2006 Wright State University Concerto Competition where she performed the Neilson Flute Concerto. Ensor has also performed with artists such as Keiko Matsui, Trout Fishing in America and Mnozil Brass.

In addition to her duties with the Air Force, Ensor is a certified Crossfit trainer.
