Master Sergeant Greg Pinney

Master Sgt. Greg Pinney is a violinist with the Air Force Strings, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. Originally from Bristol, Pennsylvania, his career in the Air Force began in 2001.  Pinney currently serves in the band's supply section.

Pinney is a 1995 graduate of the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, where he received a Bachelor of Music degree. He furthered his education, earning a Master of Music degree in 1998 from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. His teachers include Zvi Zeitlin and Emanuel Borok.

Highlights from Pinney's Air Force career include the Dalai Lama Congressional Gold Medal Ceremony hosted by President George W. Bush, as well as the 56th Presidential Inaugural concert on the National Mall.
