A1C Dee Jay Foster

Airman First Class Dee Jay Foster performs as bassist with the United States Air Force Heartland of America Band, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. In addition to his musical duties, he serves in the unit’s Publicity section.

Originally from Rota, Spain, Airman Foster earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from Berklee College of Music. He is also studied classical bass performance in the Master’s Degree program at the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona, Spain.His past teachers include Ron Carter, Larry Grenadier, Ben Street, Carles Benavent and Orin O'Brian, among others.

Prior to joining the United States Air Force, Airman Foster frequently performed with the top touring jazz artists in the United States and abroad, along with holding teaching positions at several institutions.

2002 Berklee College of Music - Bachelor’s Degree in Performance 
2018 Liceu Conservatory of Music in Barcelona – Graduate Studies in Classical Bass
