SSgt Matthew Levine


Staff Sergeant Matthew Levine, percussion, is a native of Massapequa Park, NY. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from George Mason University and a Master of Music degree in Percussion Performance from Indiana University. His orchestral experiences include playing with the Hawaii Symphony, Hawaii Opera Theatre, Colorado Springs Philharmonic, Evansville Philharmonic, Terre Haute Symphony, and National Orchestral Institute Festival Orchestra. From 2009-2011, SSgt Levine worked as a band director in Fairfax County, VA, where he also taught several drumlines. In his spare time, he enjoys running, paddle-boarding, mathematics, and spending time with his wife Andrea and their papillon named Mochi.

Staff Sergeant Levine began his Air Force career in 2013 at the US Air Force Academy Band at Peterson AFB, CO. He performed with their concert band, marching band, and several chamber groups. Currently, Staff Sergeant Levine is assigned to the USAF Band of the Pacific at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, where he performs with Hana Hou! and Small Kine.
