Staff Sergeant Nicole Zettlemoyer

Staff Sergeant Nicole Zettlemoyer is a native of East Hanover, NJ. She received her Master’s Degree in Music Education from Boston University in 2017. In January of 2014, Sergeant Zettlemoyer joined the Marine Corps and was assigned to Marine Corps Band New Orleans.  In the Marines, Sergeant Zettlemoyer was a Martial Arts Instructor, NCOIC of Operations, Squad Leader, and Woodwind Group Leader.  After finishing her tour with the band, she left the active duty ranks and worked for the Youth Orchestras of San Antonio.  In December, 2018, SSgt Zettlemoyer completed the prior sister service course and reentered the active duty ranks with the Band of the West.  Zettlemoyer remains an active freelance musician, performing with various orchestras throughout Texas. In her spare time, Sergeant Pompei likes to powerlift and bake.
