SrA Jarrett Kocan

Senior Airman Jarrett Kocan

 

SrA Jarrett Kocan, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a trumpeter for the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education, and a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from Duquesne University. While at Duquesne University, his applied trumpet instructors were Neal Berntsen, Charles Lirette, and George Vosburgh of the Pittsburgh Symphony.

 

Prior to joining the Air Force, SrA Kocan was a freelance musician, performing regularly with the Pittsburgh Symphony. Other notable symphonies he has performed with include the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra, Westmoreland Symphony, Wheeling Symphony, and the South Florida Symphony Orchestra. Prior to living in Pittsburgh, SrA Kocan had performed for thousands of passengers aboard Carnival Cruise Lines.
