Master Sgt. Jeremy Klenke is a clarinetist and the concertmaster for the Concert Band, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. A native of Aurora, Illinois, his career in the Air Force Band began in February 2018.
Klenke began studying clarinet with his mom at the age of 10. He later studied with John Bruce Yeh, Susan Warner, and Ken Grant at The Eastman School of Music. While a student at Eastman, Klenke had the opportunity to perform as soloist at Carnegie Hall and appear on the Latin Grammy-nominated performance of Jorge Liderman's Barcelonazo.
Prior to joining the Air Force, Klenke was a member of the U.S. Army Field Band for 10 years. He has also performed with the Detroit Symphony, the Boston Pops and conducted several opera performances at the Kennedy Center.
