SMSgt Nicole Shininger

Senior Master Sergeant Nicole Shininger is the Superintendent for the USAF Band of Mid-America.  She enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1996 and performs on clarinet and bass clarinet.

Originally from East Meadow, New York, Sergeant Shininger enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1996.

Prior to joining the United States Air Force she performed with many professional organizations including the Jackson Symphony, the Muskegon Symphony, and the Omaha Playhouse. She has also been an instructor at the Flint School of Music in Flint, MI and Miller Music Studio in Okemos, MI. Her teachers have included Frank Wangler, Elsa Ludewig-Verdehr, Louis Rossi, Joseph Luloff, Barry Stees and Dan Stolper.
