Staff Sergeant Chris Hanson

Staff Sergeant Chris Hanson is a Regional Band Craftsman assigned to the United States Air Force Band of Flight, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.  He performs his musical duties as the percussionist and Noncommissioned Officer in Charge with the unit’s brass ensemble, “Spirit of Freedom.”

Originally from Polson, Montana, SSgt Hanson entered the Air Force in June of 2015, completed basic military training in July 2015 and has been stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base since August 2015.  Prior to joining the Air Force, SSgt Hanson completed his Master’s degree in Percussion Performance at the University of New Mexico. 

In 2017 SSgt Hanson deployed as a member of the Air Force Central Command (AFCENT) Band in support of Operations INHERENT RESOLVE, FREEDOM’S SENTINNEL and the Resolute Support Mission.
