Technical Sergeant Saundra Sininger performs on trombone with United States Air Force Band of Mid-America. Prior to joining the Air Force, Sergeant Sininger attended Eastern Kentucky University where she received a Bachelor's of Music Education and Masters of Music Degree, respectively. Sergeant Sininger also taught K-12 grade general and instrumental music in the Perry Co, KY School district. Her former teachers include Dr. Chris Hayes and Dr. Mark Whitlock.
In 2001, Sergeant Sininger auditioned for the U.S. Air Force Band and Music Programs and was assigned to the USAF Band of the West, Lackland AFB, TX. Before joining the USAF Band of Mid-America in June 2015, Sergeant Sininger was a member of The United States Air Forces in Europe Band, Ramstein AB, Germany. Her assignments have brought opportunities to travel throughout the US, Europe, Asia, Russia and Africa performing with Air Force regional concert bands, ceremonial marching bands, brass quintet, Dixieland and jazz ensembles.
