SrA Timothy Guidry

Senior Airman Timothy Guidry is a trumpet player with the Air Force Band of the West, where he is assigned to perform with the Concert Band, Dimensions in Blue Jazz Ensemble, the Ceremonial Marching Band, and Gateway Brass.  Born in Lafayette Louisiana, A1C Guidry graduated from W.T. Woodson High School in 2011 before pursuing a Bachelor's degree in trumpet performance from James Madison University.  After graduating from JMU in 2015, airman Guidry was offered a graduate assistantship at the University of New Mexico where he would perform with the Sandia Brass.  He has competed in the National Trumpet Competition and performed in many masterclasses with world class trumpet players, including Rex Richardson, Ronald Romm, Billy Hunter, and Jose Sibaja.  His primary teachers include John Marchiando, Jeff Piper, and Chris Carrillo.
