MSgt Shane Kibbey

MSgt Shane S. Kibbey is a trumpeter with the United States Air Force Band of the West, where he is assigned to the Concert Band, Ceremonial Marching Band, Warhawk popular music ensemble, and Dimensions in Blue jazz ensemble. In addition to his performing duties he is the Unit Training Manager and Unit Security Manager.

A native of Columbus, Ohio, Sergeant Kibbey entered the Air Force in February 2000.  Following completion of Basic Military Training, he was assigned to Offutt Air Force Base in April 2000.  His primary trumpet instructors include Dr. Karl Sievers (Wright State University), Dr. James Stokes (Capital University), and Mr. James Reed.
