Staff Sergeant Cody Peterson

Staff Sergeant Cody Peterson is a keyboardist with the United States Air Force Band of the West. Sergeant Peterson hails from Stillwater, Minnesota where he graduated from Stillwater Area High School 2009. After completion of high school, Sergeant Peterson attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance degree before enlisting in the Air Force.

In 2009, he was a finalist for the Schubert Club Jazz Piano Competition, where he was awarded the Stephen Paulus Scholarship award for jazz performance. He has shared the stage with many legendary artists including John Patitucci, Wayne Bergeron, and many others.

Staff Sergeant Peterson is currently assigned to the Concert Band, "Dimensions in Blue" jazz band, and popular music group "Warhawk".
