MSgt Janusz S. Masztalerz


Master Sergeant Janusz S. Masztalerz, audio engineer, is a native of Poland. He graduated from Chopin's Academy of Music in Warsaw in 1990, receiving his M.A. degree in Sound Engineering and Music Production. After graduation, Sgt. Masztalerz worked as Audio Engineer for the Polish National Television Network and the Polish Army Representative Band. In 1991 he studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music, the Netherlands, in the field of digital recordings and MIDI systems. He then interned at Carnegie Hall Recording Studio in New York. While in New York, he also worked as a music teacher for St. Anthony-St. Alphonsus School in Brooklyn, and as recording engineer for the Polish and Slavic Television Network. Sergeant Masztalerz joined The USAF Academy Band in 1997 and is the sound and video engineer for Wild Blue Country and Concert Band. Sgt. Masztalerz also performs in the Marching Band.
