MSgt Julia Taylor Boughton

Master Sergeant Julia T. Boughton joined the United States Air Force Academy Band, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado, in August, 2010. She currently performs as Flutist with Academy Winds, Concert Band and Marching Band. Additionally, she serves as the group leader for Academy Winds and the Assistant Resource Advisor.

 

MSgt Boughton is a native of Telford, Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of Souderton Area High School and holds a Bachelor of Music degree in performance from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. Sergeant Boughton has performed with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, Chamber Orchestra of the Springs, American Wind Symphony and the Dayton Opera Orchestra. Since joining the Air Force in 2000, she has served with the US Air Forces in Europe Band, Sembach Air Base, Germany, and the US Air Force Band of Flight, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio in addition to the US Air Force Academy Band.
