SSgt Colin R. Trusedell

Staff Sergeant Colin Trusedell, bass, is originally from Indianapolis, IN. After high school, Colin was accepted into the Navy Music Program and attended the Navy School of Music. He graduated in the top 3rd of his class and was assigned to Navy Band Northeast, stationed in Newport, RI. In 2005, Colin was selected as the Navy Bands Bluejacket of the Quarter, 4th Quarter, and Bluejacket of the Year, 2005, receiving two Letters of Commendation from Rear Admiral Mark W. Kenny.

In 2008, Colin separated from the Navy and received a full tuition music scholarship to attend the University of Miami Frost School of Music. He graduated with an Undergraduate degree in Music Business and the Entertainment Industries. In 2010, Colin worked for the major concert promoter AEG Live, where he was an Event Coordinator in the Operations Department, the office responsible for booking and scheduling major concert events for AEG in the Southeastern United States. Colin is also the owner and Booking Agent for his own booking agency called MyShowsLive. Since 2008, this agency has provided musical talent and sound support for gala events, cocktail receptions, board dinners, and private parties throughout South Florida.

Colin joined the United States Air Force Academy Band in 2011 and is currently playing with the contemporary music ensemble Blue Steel and Marching Band. He also serves as Tour Manager and Musical director in Blue Steel. His service medals include one Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal, one Navy Good Conduct Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Medal, and the National Defense Medal.
