TSgt Michael Henrie


Technical Sergeant Michael D. Henrie, a native of McCammon, Idaho, serves as a drummer and percussionist in the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band.  Additionally he serves as the band's Website Administrator, Social Media Coordinator, Facility Manager, and Admin assistant.  After graduating high school in Michigan, he served a two-year service mission in California for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He then completed his Associate, Bachelor, and Master of Music degrees in Percussion Performance. He has held the Associate Professor of Music - Director of Percussion positions at Utah Valley State College in Orem, Utah, Snow College in Ephraim, Utah and Mercer University in Macon, Georgia.

In addition to leading his own jazz quartet and teaching privately, he has shared the stage with Earth Wind and Fire, Toby Keith, Dirks Bentley, Lee Greenwood, Restless Heart, Maureen McGovern, Sandi Patty, Grace Potter, Ben E. King, Christopher Lloyd, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, the Macon GA Symphony, the Anchorage AK Symphony, the Anchorage Concert Chorus and has participated in various recording projects to include the "Xena: Warrior Princess" Television series and an appearance on the Conan O'Brien Show. He has performed for Presidents George H.W. Bush, William J. Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack H. Obama, and Donald J. Trump.

In 2009, upon returning from his second deployment, TSgt Henrie founded and served two years as the Program Director for Project Healing Waters Alaska - a group whose mission is to help wounded soldiers and veterans heal emotionally and physically through fly fishing.

In addition to serving as Scout Master for the Boy Scouts of America Troop 81, TSgt Henrie loves spending time with his family at their cabin, fishing, hunting, and doing commercial Drone productions.
