SSgt Trent Lockhart

Staff Sergeant Trent Lockhart, a native of Hoopeston, Illinois, serves as a trombonist for the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band. SSgt Lockhart earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Trombone Performance from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, in 2007. He earned an Artist's Diploma from the State Conservatory of Music in Trossingen, Germany and Master of Music degree with coursework at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, Nebraska. He has studied with Dr. John Seidel, Abbie Conant, M. Dee Stewart, and Dr. Scott Anderson.

Prior to joining the Air Force, SSgt Lockhart has performed with the Muncie Symphony Orchestra, Rome Festival Orchestra, and Southwest German Philharmonic in Constance, Germany. While studying in Germany, he was also an active teacher and community band musical director throughout southwest Germany. As a bass trombonist, he was a finalist in the 2011 US Army Band's Eastern Trombone Workshop solo competition.
