MSgt Robert Mayes

Master Sergeant Robert R. Mayes is a French hornist with the with the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West, Travis AFB, CA.  Originally from Enterprise Florida, his Air Force career began in 2001 with the USAF Band of the West, Lackland AFB TX.

MSgt Mayes is a 1997 graduate of Stetson University, Deland FL, where he earned a Bachelor Degree in Music.  In 2000, he received a Master of Music Degree from Duquesne University, Pittsburg PA.  Sergeant Mayes has extensive professional musical experience, performing with symphonies in Orlando, Ft Meyers and Naples, Florida, the Ash Lawn Opera Festival, the Altoona and Westmoreland Symphonies in Pennsylvania and the North State Symphony in Chico, California. He also maintains an active private teaching studio.
