SSgt Daniel A Shifren

Staff Sergeant Daniel Shifren is a bassoonist with the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West, Travis AFB, CA. Originally from Los Angeles, CA, his Air Force career began in 2014.

Staff Sergeant Shifren is a 2010 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in bassoon performance. He received a Masters of Music from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Cincinnati, OH. His primary teachers include John Campbell, Nancy Goeres, and William Winstead. He has spent summers performing at Idyllwild Arts, CA, and the Aspen Music Festival, CO.
