SrA Alan Matteri


Senior Airman Alan Matteri is a trumpet player with the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West, Travis AFB, CA. Originally from Benicia, CA, his Air Force career began in 2016.

SrA Matteri is a 2013 graduate of California State University - East Bay, Hayward, CA, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Music and a minor in Marketing with Magna Cum Laude Honors. In 2016, he received his Master's degree in music performance from San Francisco Conservatory of Music. His teachers include Ronald Blais (USAF Band - Washington D.C.), Jeff Biancalana, Adam Luftman, Ray Riccomini, Thomas Booth, and Ray Mase. A1C Matteri has performed as 2nd Trumpet for the Modesto Symphony, Merced Symphony, Livermore Valley Opera, and was runner-up for the principal trumpet position of Fresno Symphony. As an educator, he has taught private trumpet lessons around the Bay Area. He has served as an extra musician for Vallejo Symphony and the Philharmonia Orchestra of London. He is also on the sub list for the New World Symphony in Miami, FL. SrA Matteri also has experience performing regularly with a professional funk band all around the Bay Area from 2012 to 2015 for various events. In 2015, he work on recording projects for Sony Interactive Entertainment in San Mateo, CA.
