MSgt David Balandrin

Master Sgt. David E. Balandrin is a French hornist with the Concert Band, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, his career in the Air Force began in 2011.

Before joining the Air Force, he performed as an active freelance musician with ensembles such as the Boston Civic Symphony, Plymouth Philharmonic, Cape Cod Chamber Ensemble, Mercury Orchestra, Lowell House Opera, and Juventas New Music Ensemble.

A graduate of Boston University, Balandrin earned a Master of Music in French horn performance. Balandrin also received a Bachelor of Music in French horn performance from the University of Utah and completed one year towards a Graduate Performance Diploma at Longy School of Music in Boston, MA. His principal teachers were Kevin Owen, Eric Ruske, Ron Beitel and Stephen Proser.
