Pacific Trends joined forces with the USAF Band of the Pacific, Alaska, to perform Big Band music for the second half portion of a “Mega Band” tour for the Japanese in the Tohoku area (Part – 2).
Pacific Trends went on a 10 day road trip to Iwate and Miyagi Prefecture in Japan to perform with members from the USAF Band of the Pacific, Alaska. “Night after night the band looked and sounded incredible! Typically, for a show like this to come together this well requires months of preparation and many rehearsals. Once our fellow Greatlanders arrived from Alaska, the band just clicked after the very first note. At that point, we knew this would be extra special for everyone as we celebrated and honored over 50 years of friendship with our Japanese allies.” SMSgt Michael Goetz (Band Manager of the USAF Band of the Pacific – Asia).
