    On Jan. 15, Major Jason Plosch, director of operations for The U.S. Air Force Band, and seven enlisted members of the Band hosted 55 federal employees from the Excellence in Government Fellows Program (EIG) for a symposium in the Band’s rehearsal studios in historic Hangar 2 on Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling.

  • Video of Polish song “Sciernisko” goes viral

    Technical Sgt. Matt Hill and other members of The United States Air Force Band's Singing Sergeants in Washington, D.C., performed the Polish song “Sciernisko” to honor the Polish Air Force Inspector, Brigadier General pilot Jacek Pszczoła, on his visit to the U.S. This video was the final rehearsal before Sgt. Hill's performance on October 1, 2019. The Polish band who wrote the song, the Golec uOrkiestra, posted the video onto their Facebook page and it went viral.

  • Like father, like son

    The children of active duty service members make many sacrifices while their parents serve our nation. As with any military unit, a large number of The U.S. Air Force Band’s personnel are parents themselves who work hard to obtain balance between work and family life. For one band member’s family, the lines between work life and family life blurred recently as a military father and his son sat on the same stage and made beautiful music together.
