Senior Airman Aaron Taylor

Senior Airman Aaron Taylor is a percussionist at the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America, where he performs in the Concert Band, Ceremonial Band and Starlifter.

Airman Taylor hails from the greater Philadelphia, PA region. He graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. During his studies, Airman Taylor performed in several ensembles affiliated with the School of Music, in addition to performing with DCI groups and various entertainment companies. After graduating in 2015, he performed on several contracts with various entertainment companies, professional ensembles, cruise ship orchestras, and professional musical theater orchestras. In 2019, he enlisted to join the U.S. Army’s 10th Mountain Division Band, where he performed in the unit’s country, rock, salsa, jazz, concert, and ceremonial ensembles for various performances and recording sessions until his separation in May 2023.

Airman Taylor studied classical percussion and drum set with Dr. Ralph Sorrentino and Dr. Christopher Hanning during his degree program, and has also studied with Gabriel Staznik, Brent Behrenshausen, Brett Lupi, and Joshua Dekaney in subsequent years.
