Airman First Class David Pickar is a native of Wausau, Wisconsin. He holds a Bachelor’s in Music Performance and Spanish from Lawrence University. He has studied with José Encarnación, Patty Darling, and Mark Dupere. A1C Pickar has performed as a featured marimba soloist with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and the Lakeshore Wind Ensemble, and as a drummer founded a college swing-dance band called the “LarryU Lindy-Hoppers.” He won his position with the United States Air Force Regional Bands in 2022, and currently performs with the USAF Band of Mid-America at Scott AFB, IL.
