Master Sergeant Doug Kost

Master Sergeant Doug Kost is a native of Zelienople, Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor Degree in Music Education from Youngstown State University in 2002, and his Master Degree in Music Performance from the University of North Texas in 2006. Master Sergeant Kost toured with the Glenn Miller Orchestra prior to joining the Air Force in September, 2005. His career started at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, when he was assigned to the Band of Flight. Other assignments include Scott AFB, IL, and Lackland AFB, TX, where he is currently assigned to the Band of the West. Prior to joining the Band of the West, Master Sergeant Kost served as a Military Training Instructor at the Air Force’s Basic Military Training. In 2010, he deployed as part of an ensemble to support the Navy’s Operation Continuing Promise to Central and South America.
