Master Sergeant Andrew Reich

Master Sgt. Andrew Reich serves as trombonist with the Ceremonial Brass. A native of Lexington, South Carolina, he joined the Air Force in 2017 as a member of the U.S. Air Force Heritage of America Band at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.

Highlights of Sgt. Reich’s Air Force career include performances at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, multiple appearances on the Fox News Channel’s “Fox and Friends,” marching in the 2017 New York City Veterans Day Parade, and at the Midwest Band Clinic with an interservice trombone quartet. He also frequently appears with the Airmen of Note.

Prior to joining the Air Force, Sgt. Reich toured with Tim Zimmerman and the King’s Brass from 2009 to 2016, performing 120 concerts a year across the United States and abroad including Europe and South Korea. Additionally, he performed with symphony orchestras in South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee, presented solo appearances in Japan, Italy, and Bulgaria, and was a faculty member at the renowned Brazil Instrumental Festival in Tatuí.

Sgt. Reich earned a Bachelor of Music degree in trombone performance from the University of South Carolina in 2005, and a Master of Music in trombone performance from the University of Georgia in 2007, where he held the prestigious Bulldog Brass Quintet assistantship. His primary teachers include Brad Edwards, Philip Jameson, Fred Mills, John Rojak, and Greg Cox, and pursued additional studies with Joe Alessi, Bill Booth, Toby Oft, and Colin Williams.
