Master Sergeant David Michael Kucharski

Master Sgt. David M. Kucharski is a trumpeter with the Ceremonial Brass, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. In addition to his performance duties, Kucharski also serves as the AIM Educational Outreach Program Manager.  A native of Richfield, Ohio, his Air Force career began in 2001 as a member of the Band of the West, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

Kucharski earned a Bachelor of Music from Kent State University in 1995, where he earned the Hugh A. Glauser School of Music Outstanding Musician Award, and a Master of Music from The Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University in 1998. Before joining the Air Force, Kucharski performed with the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra and was Associate Principal Trumpet of the Korean Symphony Orchestra in Seoul, South Korea. His teachers include Michael Chunn, Langston Fitzgerald and Steve Hendrickson.

 

Career highlights include two Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parades, over a dozen appearances on the NBC TODAY show, a nationally televised tribute to Tom Hanks at the Kennedy Center Honors, and the White House arrival for Queen Elizabeth with President George W. Bush.
