Master Sergeant Kenneth Riehman

Master Sgt. Kenneth Riehman is a percussionist with the Ceremonial Brass, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. Originally from Bridgewater, NJ, his Air Force career began in 2016.

 

A 2001 graduate of Rutgers University, Riehman earned a Bachelor of Music in Performance. In 2003 he completed his Master of Music in Performance degree at Temple University. His teachers included Alan Abel, Angela Zator Nelson, She-e Wu, and William Moersch.

 

Prior to joining the United States Air Force Band, Riehman’s college and professional experience includes performing with Opera Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Ballet, Bay Atlantic Symphony, the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, Relache, Orchestra 2001, Symphony in C, Chautauqua Institute, Verbier Festival, and Festival Ensemble Stuttgart. He has also performed with artists such as James Levine, Corrado Riveras, Helmuth Rilling, and Rossen Milanov.

 

Riehman’s other notable achievements include winner of the 2004 Chesapeake Chamber Music Competition as a member of the Exit 9 Percussion Group, performing commissioned works by Michael Burritt, Brett Dietz, and Bruce Hamilton, and adjunct faculty at University of Valley Forge, Immaculata High School, and Little Flower High School.
